Dr. McElveen was born in Jacksonville and grew up near Hollywood, Florida. Following his undergraduate study at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, he attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 1988. Since that time he has practiced dentistry in Sarasota.
